The carnivorous plant house is a one-of-a-kind plant display dedicated exclusively to carnivorous plants.
The most familiar of these is the Venus flytrap, Dionaea muscipula. The carnivorous plant house is the only publicly displayed plant exhibit in the U.S. dedicated exclusively to carnivorous plants.
The inspiration for legends, social clubs and poetry, carnivorous plants have been enchanting people for centuries. The plants in the Kenneth E. Nelson Carnivorous Plant House come in all shapes and sizes and are native to countries around the globe. They include fascinating Venus flytraps, colorful pitcher plants, glittering sundews and butterworts.
