Returning this year is fan-favorite George Thorogood and the Destroyers for another high-energy performance. George Thorogood’s rock-and-roll hits “Bad to the Bone” and “Who Do You Love” have earned him a spot at the top of Billboard’s blues chart. Renowned for live performances in small blues clubs, he earned Billboard’s “Best Blues Album of the Year” in 2004, and has had four gold albums to his credit.
Blues icon and tenor saxophonist Eddie Shaw has been honing his craft for 50 years. He moved to Chicago from Benoit, MS at age 20 when Muddy Waters invited him to join his band. Soon after, he joined Howlin’ Wolf’s band. Since then, he has established himself as a respected blues singer, songwriter, musician, arranger and band leader. He also received the 2006 and 2007 Blues Music Award for Instrumentalist—Horn. His albums include Naked, Papa Told Me and Four Decades of Eddie Shaw.
