Loeschner Art Competition

The annual Ray and Nancy Loeschner Art Competition is open to all artists working in a two-dimensional format. Artwork may include photography, paintings, drawings and collages.

Applications are available for download here. Application deadline is November 2, 2013. A $3,000 prize will be awarded to first place, and the winning piece will become part of the Meijer Gardens permanent collection. Although not a requirement, artists are welcome to work on site for inspiration.

Since 2002, the Loeschner Art Competition has sought outstanding two-dimensional artwork inspired by the gardens, grounds and collections of Meijer Gardens.
